Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2018 Ford Escape- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today we have the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Basket. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2018 Ford Escape. If you're looking for a way to expand your cargo space, maybe you have a big trip planned and not everything's gonna fit inside your Ford Escape, or maybe you want to carry around the gear for the other accessories you're carrying on your roof, that's where the Yakima SkinnyWarrior can come in handy. It's gonna be a skinny roof basket with dimensions of 58 inches long by 23 inches wide, so if you needed to carry other things, like a kayak, or a roof-mounted bike rack, you can do so while still having that extra cargo space. This is how much space you have left over for those other accessories. Now, I do have this on 60 inch long Yakima bars, and we have it on the overhang of those bars, but even if we had a roof rack without overhang, there'd still be room left over for those other accessories. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Escape- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com And today we're going to be taking a look at this Rhino Rack rooftop cargo basket here on our 2017 Ford Escape. Now, as far as rooftop baskets go, this one is one of my personal favorites just for the way it looks. I think it looks really nice up here on the escape, but it's going to be really functional too. It's gonna give you a lot more space to add some luggage on a road trip, or maybe you're going hiking. You've got some muddy gear that you don't want to put it inside your vehicle. more

Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Escape- Video
Hey, guys. Today, we have a 2017 Ford Escape and we're gonna do a test fit of the Yakima Off Grid rooftop cargo basket. Now a cargo basket, if you're not familiar with it, it works just like a cargo box, the only difference being that it doesn't have an enclosed lid. So everything's gonna be out in the open. So that's something you do want to keep in mind that when you want to load any excess cargo, luggage, anything like that to where you want to create more space in the inside of your vehicle. It is all gonna be exposed to the elements. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2009 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2009 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT rooftop cargo basket, part number TH859XT. This cargo basket measures 49 in long by 40 in wide by 6 in tall. It has a carrying capacity of 150 lbs, although you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure that your roof can withstand that kind of weight. It does come with the fairing installed on it, and this does have a nice aerodynamic shape to it as well, and both of those will cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving. We have it in the shortened version now, but if you look on etrailer.com, there is a center piece you can put in here to actually extend it out, which is sold separately. Let's go ahead and show you how the last one goes on. First off though, I would like to point out that as it sits right now, we're not going to have any clearance issues between the hatch itself and the cargo basket. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2009 Ford Escape- Video
Today in our 2009 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting our Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. This is 47 inches long by 35 inches wide by 5 and a half inches tall. Has a carry capacity of 165 pounds, although you want to demo check with your manufacturers instructions to make sure that your roof can withstand that weight. It does come included with a fairing at the front here, that's going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving. The carrier itself does have a nice aerodynamic shape to it as well. This is what you would use for things like camping equipment, sporting goods equipment, anything you want to keep out of your vehicle to make more space for you and your family as you travel. more

Kuat Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on this 2013 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Skinny Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Rack, part number SK01. This measures 82 inches long by 23 inches wide and has 160 pound carrying capacity, although you'd want to double check with your manufacturer just to make sure that your roof can handle that weight. We have the skewers up at the front here and that's how you're going to attach your bike to this as well as an integrated lock towards the rear here that you can use for additional security for your bike rack or your cargo. Now how this attaches to your roof rack we have a locking top portion here . Get that out of the way. Then we have this metal bracket and plastic piece here where a u bolt will come up underneath and tighten down with these thumb screws. Once those are tightened down you take the lock inaudible 00:00:55 put that in, lock it into place and it's going to be secure to your roof rack and this is going to be the same for all 4 sheet. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Thule MOAB Rooftop Cargo Carrier or also known as, The Mother of All Baskets, part number TH690. Now with our roof rack system already assembled onto the vehicle, well set our roof top basket onto the crossbars making sure that our brackets line up evenly with our crossbars. Now with the basket positioned onto the crossbars, well swing the brackets on the underneath side of the crossbars and tighten them down using the included wing nuts. We will repeat these steps for all the other brackets. Once the basket is tightened down and secured to the crossbars, were ready to load our cargo. That completes todays test fit for the Thule MOAB Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number TH690 on our 2013 Ford Escape. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2009 Ford Escape- Video
Today we have with us a 2009 For Escape and were going to be test fitting the Thule Moab Roof Mounted Cargo Basket part number TH690. Weve already got our cargo basket assembled and were ready to go ahead and mount it up on our vehicle. To do this well place the basket up on top of the factory crossbars. Well make sure that we have it placed evenly on the roof from left to right. Once we have done that well take the hardware and fit the clamps around our crossbars and well use the included wing nuts to tighten the clamps at all four locations. With all the clamps tightened down we can reinstall our covers and our basket is installed and ready to load up. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2011 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With our vehicle equipped with the factory roof rack system and our cargo basket preassembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well need to simply set the cargo basket on top of the crossbars. Well center it from left to right with the vehicle. Well then secure it using the included hardware with the basket. With our basket secured, well go ahead and give you a height measurement added to the vehicle, and this basket will add approximately 10 inches to the overall height of the vehicle. more
